The challenge #

From 2001 to 2012 I worked at Transport for London (TfL).
I joined their brand new web team of 6 people, and by the time I left in 2012 we were 60 strong and I was the User Experience Manager.

My role #

I joined TfL as a web designer and left 10 years later as the head of the departments UX team.

During my time there I worked directly on a number of high profile projects

London bus information #

In 2010 I led the redesign of TfL's online bus timetable and route information.
Priot to 2010 this information was only avialable in PDF versions of the posters found in bus stops.
I took the redesign from paper sketches, via wireframes to a fully working prototype, built using the Google Maps API.
